The best way to celebrate Sri Ramanavami is by chanting the Hare Krishna mantra, offering prayers to Lord Rama, and reading the Ramayana, the epic that chronicles the life and deeds of Lord Rama. It is recommended that one shall fast till sunset on this auspicious day. One who cannot observe a full fast may drink water / take some fruits. You can also relish some Panakam.

  • $- The celebrations will begin with the Rama taraka yagna at 9:30 am. This yagna is a powerful way to invoke the blessings of Lord Rama, who is known to be the protector and savior of his devotees.
  • $- Following this, a grand abhishekam will be performed to Sri Rama, Lakshman, and Sita Mata. It is said in the scriptures if one witnesses the deities when bathed with various auspicious substances his body, mind, and soul will be purified and sanctified.
